Chinese spirit maker Kweichow Moutai Co, one of the country's top traditional liquor brands looks to expand internationally and seeks new partnerships. Despite its prestigious brand used by Chinese leaders to toast visiting dignitaries, including Richard Nixon and Margaret Thatcher, overseas sales are still tiny. Kweichou Moutai, along with Scotland Whisky, Cognac Brandy are regarded as the three most famous spirits in the world. Kweichow Moutai is crowned as “China’s National Wine” and “A Drink of Real Men” (by Charlie Chaplin). It may therefore very well serve an ambassador of “Brand China” in the world….

China’s beloved fruit juice brand now not only receives protection from consumers and the government but also draws the attention of competing Chinese juice makers who may protest the planned takeover deal of the brand.
