July 31, 2008, The Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) published its answers to questions and comments regarding the Commercial Franchise Regulations since its one-year implementation. MOFCOM noted that the Regulations require for more stringent disclosure rules and the showing of operational resources, and better record keeping - all of which have lead to more transparency giving more effective protection to investors.
