I am a teacher, a bicyclist, a martial artist, a cook. I am a lapsed filmmaker, an amateur photographer, and a sloppy linguist. My husband is a gifted healer and acupuncturist. Together, we are spending a year or more in Chengdu, China, as I teach applied linguistics at Sichuan University, and he furthers his studies in herbs and tui na massage. This site is not a travel guide for the curious or a how-to supplement for your Lonely Planet pocket pal.
