Due to trolling and spamming, I'm going to trial having the sub-forum as private - i.e. you can only access it if you're granted access by an admin.

If any of the regulars have been passed over for access, please let me or Richard know via PM. Of course we might tell you to get lost! :lol:

As to new members, if you're a legitimate user and not a spammer, etc please post a bit in the "Things Non-China" section, so we can get to know you a bit first.

Are more blogs being blocked lately?

Are more sites being blocked, or is it my lousy internet connection.  I can't find ChinaLawBlog or ImageThief. 

 

I propose we develop a space -- not unlike this one -- for updates about what sites are being blocked.  Between the policy issues, termporary service outages and generally poor internet reliability in China, it's hard to know what is the cause.  If ImageThief and CLB are, in fact, being blocked then we've just taken a huge step backwards.

I recognize the irony of critiquing Ivan's tendency towards personal attacks and then posting a personal announcement here. But please bear with me. I recently hit my next step in my life plan, which will, among other things, involve a change of employment venue as well as a substantial reduction in my free time. Because I don't want to burden all of you with an increase in low quality posts about Kate Moss's legs, this will translate, in turn, to a reduction of my posts on this forum.
