How come I can vote for myself over and over again? This poll is meaningless if that is allowed.

Anonymous voting is tough

We wanted to keep voting open for anonymous, which isn't the case in Digg or Reddit. Anonymous voting is tough to implement the right way - cookies and IP. If IP change, cookies are cleared... not much I can do about that.

Naturally, like I stated when the voting opened - this isn't perfect and there's room for abuse. But, since we're all running this for sake of blogosphere promotion, there are no prizes and we all generally know each other - then I'm hoping that won't take out any of the fun.

So, why did you change it on the last day, so that people have to register to vote.
