i very much doubt it is real. i first saw these photos about 3 or 4 years ago. i think that they were a publicity stunt by an artist or something, and every so often someone sticks them on a bbs again. i am sure someone can look it up on the net.

i haven't bothered to read the chinese properly though, just appears to be some bs about a reporter uncovering it.

Yes there was a rumor it was from Taiwan but that was from internet e-mails and unfounded from reality.

i still have trouble believing it though. there was apparently some cannibalism in guangxi during the cultural revolution where black elements were killed and then eaten, but this is of a different order entirely.
