Hmm, it'll be interesting to see if this works. An open thread within a bulletin board designed to serve as one big open thread. I like it in theory, but wonder if it'll catch on.

Also, do you think it's really accurate to say us old-timers were "spamming" the introduction thread? I thought it was more like we were welcoming the new guy and making him feel more at home.

Shouldn't "introductions" go two ways?

I have a suggestion. Would it be possible to combine the new member introduction thread with the random fun thread but make it one with a date limit. So we can have the first one as new member introduction thread November 2006 and then open a new one in a month's time. Then we can have a forum where new and old members can interact and where some kind of informal initiation ritual can be performed.

I can't speak for others, but I promise that I'll behave myself and will not trash the place. :wink:

P.S. once a new introduction thread is opened, the old one can be locked to stop readers from posting more comments. In that case, you can prevent spammers from littering all over the place.

Considering how every single thread I've posted for the past few weeks has been very deliberately and calculatedly anti-racist, calling him a "moron" is overestimating his intelligence.

I would probably just tell him something unsubtle like "suck on my big Black cock", so I won't mind if you address him in your more elegant way.
