Israeli's aren't really a Western country, but a lot of them do speak fluent or near fluent English, and all Australians should speak fluent English, it's their official first language.

No, I didn't know. I do know US has the death penalty that applied to different type of crimes depending on the severity of the situation.

This crime committed by the Jap. doing the wartimes. I remembered when my father told me that the Jap are bad people. They killed a lot of Chinese people during the wartime. To this date, I still harbor ill feeling toward the japanese people.

How many people does Japan execute each year? And how fair is the Japanese justice system regarded in comparison to China's? China isn't a member of the club - it is in its own premier league.

What I meant is that in most STATES in USA, there are few states that have death peanlty for crime committed under this circumstance. Every STATES has their own jurisdictions/rules. There is no Uniform code of law applied to domestic abuse under this situation for all STATES.

For example, some of the justic groups claim that up around 70 percent of defendents in China don't have qualified lawyers to defend them.

Even the guilty shouldn't be railroaded.

If this crime was committed in America, why was this crime tried in China?

She was tried in China because she fled America after murdering her husband and since China does not have an extradition treaty with the United States all evidence was turned over to Chinese authorities and her trial was conducted in China.

I would never go so far as to say that China's courts are "just". However, if her sentence is commuted to life in prison, I believe justice will have been administered fairly in this case.

I may be in favor of capital punishment in some instances, but since her crime was committed in one country and tried in another I do not believe the death penalty would be appropriate in this case.

Justice hasn't been served if like me you disagree with the death penalty.

As mentioned in the ariticle, she will more than likely have her sentence commuted to life in prison.
