		<description>Such nationalist stirrings are becoming quite prevalent in my sector; some clients are refusing additional investment funds because they&#039;re afraid foreigners will end up owning their company.  Quite xenophobic and shortsighted actually--this is part of the reason why China&#039;s stockmarket is so crappy and most of their companies prefer to borrow money for capital rather than raise it through attracting outside investment.  It&#039;s a wonder that 60 billion dollars in FDI makes it into the country each year anyhow--although most of it, I understand, is simply domestic investment redirected through offshore tax havens like Singapore, Hong Kong, or even the Cayman Islands.</description>
