I've often written about the fact that I need a new kidney. I have polycystic kidney disease (PKD). This hereditary disease means I have cysts in my kidneys that are slowly growing and deteriorating my kidneys. Unfortunately, it often also can negatively affect the heart, and it has also done that for me. They say it is some kind of blockage. And that it can be easily cleared up with a heart catherization. But, there's another catch. The process will ruin the last of my kidneys.
