Sorry for the lack of posts recently. My son will be 16 months this week and while I usually am chasing him all over creation, he has been sick for the past few days. During a break from the crying and Motrin dispensing, I was able to read the Cultural Revolution cookbook.

Crescent Moon (弯弯月亮) Restaurant in Beijing

On our recent visit to Beijing we went to our favorite Xinjiang restaurant, Crescent Moon, tucked away in Dongsiliutiao Hutong. Nothing has changed, everything is still delicious and fresh. The yogurt is creamy, fresh and tasty, the naan is fluffy but still has a charred woody flavor and the Chuan'r is simply the best.
